Lasswade was established in 2001 by the owners Roger and Emma Stevens. They have built a fine reputation of their good food, clean and comfortable accommodation, with a good customer return.

Having always worked in catering for large hotels, Roger, who previously worked as a Head Chef at the Waldorf Hotel in London, took a sabbatical to lecture and sell cheese to the industry. He has a keen interest in motor sport, competing regularly in local motor rally competitions – of course this is when time allows!
You may even have seen or heard Roger in one of his frequent television or radio appearances as he’s a food judge, regularly appearing in live cooking demonstrations at Food Festivals taking place in Wales.
Emma, a farmer’s daughter from Hampshire, knows how important Farm to Plate is and she regularly interacts with the local community and school regarding this topic.
