Whatever your occasion, Lasswade Restaurant is a special place to relax and enjoy a fantastic evening within a period Country House atmosphere.
We use locally sourced and mainly organic produce as the basis of our award winning menus. We regularly visit the local farms and farmers markets. Some produce is even grown and supplied especially for us by our local smallholders, thus supporting the local community.
Roger, our professional Chef has a passion for the food he produces and this reflects in every mouthful. The style of cooking we offer at Lasswade is† Modern British with a hint of Mediterranean, with menu changes daily to encompass the flavors and fresh local food available.
Our three-course dinner menu is £34.00 per person.
Being recommended by vegetarian, vegan and celiac societies, we cater for any special dietary requirements that you may have, but we do ask that you give us prior notification for your needs.
We have developed a fantastic reputation for our restaurant, winning numerous food awards, with the latest being 2 AA Rosettes. We have also been established in the Good Food Guide Wales True Taste.
After your dinner, make a difference and try one of our Single Estate Teas instead of coffee. We recommend you try our special White Tea – delicious!

We are licensed with a good selection of Wines and Malts, supplied by award winning Tanners of Shrewsbury.
For those of you dining as a group, we can offer you a more private dining experience in our conservatory restaurant – this is limited for groups of 12 or more people. Please contact us to discuss your arrangements.
If weather allows, enjoy a glass of wine in the garden on the patio and admire the views and songbirds. This is the perfect way to enjoy a summerís evening, and relax with your partner or friends, and later in the evening see the stars, with no light pollution – it really is beautiful.

This approach has given me more accolades in five years working for myself than I ever had in the thirty years for others.
The sourcing of the very best and where possible local ingredients is never an easy task.† Because, I am searching for the highest quality, born through good husbandry and total dedication.† Fortunately, many of Walesí Producers have not been lured by the bright lights or quick profits, which mean their product has heritage.
They have not had to reinvent themselves in the light of a perceived media demand but, I am encouraged and flattered to see that two of my longest standing suppliers, those being; the Organic Smokehouse www.organicsmokehouse.com/ and the Elan Valley Organic Mutton www.elanvalleymutton.co.uk, are both winning major awards and international recognition.† This has been achieved without compromise and without deserting their long standing client base.

He was the first person to open the use of the Railway (www.heartofwales.co.uk) for transporting food within Wales since privatisation.† A feat that was highlighted on Carlton T.V.
Roger is a much requested figure for live Cooking Festivals throughout Wales.
He also acts as an adviser to some arms of the Welsh Assembly Government on Food Tourism.
